Another Funny Story... Tangent Related

So, like I said, it just isn't "cool" to share the "joy"... so we stayed home yesterday, and even today (from a great mommy book club).

Any how, last night I was thinking of who has and hasn't been "plagued" as of yet.
Thea is one who hasn't gotten it... yet.

My thought process went like this...
(because as a mom of 5 I have nothing better than barf and immunities to think about).

"Ok, so Thea hasn't gotten it yet.
Hum, that is strange.
You'd think with her being littler she'd be more susceptible and would have gotten it by now...
Maybe she got some immunity to it from me..."

Get the odd and flawed thinking?

I was thinking she'd have gotten the immunity from me via birth or nursing... um, yep... she didn't have either.

But, I am either so in love or mentally fogged up to realize it.
Haha.
I laughed out loud when my thought process came to that realization.
I just chalk it up to post-adoption mommy brain.

I've had the same thoughts about my two in regards to food allergies. When I was introducing solids to Esther, I read about how allergies can run in families, and I spent a good 5 minutes thinking about all of the food allergies in our family before I remembered - she's adopted! Then Josie just got diagnosed with a milk allergy (you know, 2 months home from UG), and I thought 'hmm, that's weird. No one else in the family is allergic.' And I don't even have any bio kids to have those thoughts about :)

I am glad I am not the only one... It is astoundingly wonderful and sweet how quickly they settle in in every single way!
