Yes!

We were officially granted guardianship of Isaiah Allan Kizito Miller this afternoon!
We are over the moon, beyond all imagination honored and thrilled!

God Sets The Lonely In Families...
Do you know it? We do.
We know it personally... and we saw it done today!

In case you have missed the details, Isaiah Allan is 4 and a half years old.
His birth day is actually Christmas Eve!

"Allan" ... (what we are currently calling him, but might make a switch to Isaiah later) is a sweet, sometimes shy, energetic, and fairly skilled at soccer, I might add.

He doesn't like to speak to strangers, but is quite a goof ball when he feels comfortable.
He hates pizza, jam, and dairy products... but loves rice, eggs, spaghetti and pepsi.

He's started testing me... I think that is a healthy sign. But really minorly, I might add. Like he knows what I am saying but just pretends he doesn't understand. :-) I think it means he feel comfortable with me. But this mama is sort of, shall we say, consistent... and persistent. So it hasn't worked well for him. But I actually love seeing that he's no longer "on his best behavior."

We've loved getting to know him better every day!
We are so thankful that we've been granted this privileged, both from God and by Ug@nda.

As a side note to my day...
I rode around in a car all day with a scripture reference emblazoned on the top of the windshield (this is quite common in Ug@nda). I was wondering all day what it said... I just now looked it up.

Isaiah 54:17

It says...

"No weapon that can hurt you has ever been forged.
Any accuser who takes you to court
will be dismissed as a liar.
This is what God's servants can expect.
I'll see to it that everything works out for the best."
God's Decree." (MSG)

Sort of amazing, huh?
