Today's Prayer...
Today, ask God that of the 2 billion Christians in the world, 7% (it would only take 7% to end fatherlessness) would show hope to a single orphan, looking after the child in their distress. Ask the Lord to convict the church around the world that if we did this, there would effectively be no more orphans. Ask the Lord to show each of His followers that we can each do something.
Deut. 24:19-21
When you are harvesting in your field and you overlook a sheaf, do not go back to get it. Leave it for the alien, the fatherless and the widow, so that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hands. When you beat the olives from your trees, do not go over the branches a second time. Leave what remains for the alien, the fatherless and the widow. When you harvest the grapes in your vineyard, do not go over the vines again. Leave what remains for the alien, the fatherless and the widow.
- Note: There are 3k churches in America and 120k waiting children (adoptable children) in the American system. If only one family in 1:3 of the churches in American would adopt 1 child there would be NO MORE waiting children in America... That isn't many!
