Yes, I started my first ever garden this spring.
I planted from seed... green beans, soy beans, snap peas, onions, radishes, chives, spinach, tomatoes and cherry tomatoes, summer squash, acorn and butternut squash and pumpkins!!!
I've been waiting, watering, waiting, worrying, watering, weeding, wondering, watering and worrying... too many things starting with "W" in my opinion!
Then just a few days ago I saw a red top sticking out of the dirt!!!
(I actually love them.)
So drum roll please here it is... my first home grown produce. Not that I can take much credit. It still stumps me how that spicy flavor can be "held" in a little seed. God is so good!
As for next spring... I already know I want to add lettuce, asparagus and more herbs!!! And, I can't wait to see how my squash do!!!
